Dr. Patricia Quinlan is a consultant ophthalmologist in the Blackrock Clinic with a special interest in medical retinal disease. Patricia qualified from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She achieved her basic ophthalmology training in the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital Dublin. She then completed a three year fellowship in the Wilmer Eye Institute, the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, USA. After finishing her fellowship she worked on the consultant staff at the Wilmer Eye Institute and its associate hospital the Wyman Park Medical Centre, before returning to Ireland. Patricia specialises in the treatment of patients with retinal vascular disease including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion in addition to glaucoma and general ophthalmology.
