A general surgeon with a specialist interest in HPB surgery and liver transplantation, Mr Adithya Pathanki practices at Hermitage Clinic, the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan. His work encompasses complex liver and pancreatic resections, robotic-assisted surgery, and both elective and emergency general surgery. He has completed his higher surgical training across high-volume tertiary centers in the UK, including University Hospitals Birmingham and University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.
Mr Pathanki holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) and the European Board of Surgery (FEBS) in HPB Surgery, with additional expertise in robotic HPB procedures and transplantation. Beyond clinical practice, he has contributed to research in HPB surgery, liver transplantation, and robotic surgery, with a focus on optimizing perioperative outcomes and advancing minimally invasive techniques. He has also been involved in service development initiatives aimed at improving access to timely surgical care.

Mr Pathanki has authored over 20 publications in HPB, general surgery and transplantation with multiple international and national podium and poster presentations at various conferences. He has also served as associate PI for trials in the UK and have led on a multitude of European collaborative research projects at the institutional level.
Mr Pathanki has completed fellowships in Paediatric and Adult HPB surgery and liver transplantation at the liver unit at Birmingham, UK across Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. He has also completed a fellowship in robotic HPB surgery at University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire.
