Mr. Kinsella is the most senior member of the Ophthalmology Department in University Hospital Galway, having been appointed in 1993. He established the Western Laser Clinic in Blackrock Health Galway Clinic in 2002 which has the same technical team since its establishment.
He is also a lecturer in Ophthalmology to the National University of Ireland, Galway and is an examiner in the Fellowship of Ophthalmology Examinations for Ireland. Mr. Kinsella is actively involved in teaching undergraduates as well as trainees in ophthalmic surgery.
