Mr. Nawar Masarani is a skilled vascular and endovascular surgeon with a wealth of experience in both clinical practice and academic teaching. Holding prestigious qualifications including FRCS Vasc, FEBVS, and MRCSI, he has demonstrated excellence in the field of vascular surgery across multiple countries. With extensive experience in Ireland, Mr. Masarani has served in various capacities at renowned institutions such as Tallaght University Hospital, St. Vincent's University Hospital, and Beaumont Hospital. He has also contributed significantly to the medical community through his involvement in conferences, courses, and workshops, both locally and internationally. Mr. Masarani's dedication to advancing medical knowledge is evident through his academic contributions, including published research and participation in clinical audits. His commitment extends beyond clinical practice, as he actively engages in teaching and mentoring medical students of the RCSI and the UCD.

Mr. Nawar Masarani has a Diploma in Medicine from the University of Tishreen, Syria, in June 1999. He continued to attain more qualifications by obtaining the Syrian Board in General Surgery in 2005, the Syrian Board in Vascular Surgery in 2010, and the Arab Board in Surgery in 2016. Mr. Masarani's pursuit of excellence led him to achieve recognition internationally, including membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MRCSI) in 2013. He furthered his education with fellowships, becoming a Fellow of the European Board of Vascular Surgery (FEBVS) in 2021 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in England (FRCS Vasc) in 2022. Mr. Masarani is on the specialist registration in both the United Kingdom and Ireland

Mr. Nawar Masarani's clinical research endeavors encompass a wide spectrum of topics within vascular surgery, demonstrating his commitment to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes. He has contributed to several international prospective cohort studies, including investigations into the timing of surgery following SARS-CoV-2 infection, the relationship between SARS-CoV2 infection and venous thromboembolism after surgery, and the effects of pre-operative isolation on postoperative pulmonary complications. These studies, conducted collaboratively with global surgical teams, reflect Mr. Masarani's engagement in addressing critical issues facing surgical practice in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, he has contributed to publications on topics such as the modeling of SARS-CoV-2 vaccination for safe surgery and the impact of isolation on postoperative outcomes. Also, he was a co-author of the surgical handbooks of the RCSI and the UCD.
