Mr. Safwat Ibrahim, a consultant plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon at RCSI Hospitals group with admission privileges to Hermitage private hospital, Mater private hospital, Beaumont hospital, Connolly hospital, St. Josephs hospital and Our Lady of Lorde's hospital. Safwat was appointed as a consultant Plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon in Beaumont hospital in 2022. His expertise encompasses; Skin oncology, Breast reconstruction and aesthetic breast surgery, Breast cancer related lymphedema management, Hand surgery, General plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
Post graduate qualifications include; FRCSI (Plast.), International masters degree in Reconstructive microsurgery, European masters degree in surgical oncology, Reconstructive aesthetic breast surgery, Arab board of plastic surgery, European board of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, Medical doctorate in plastic surgery, Membership of the Royal College of surgeons England, Masters degree in surgery.
Honorary clinical lecturer, Royal College of Surgeons Ireland. Multiple publications in international and national journals. Strong academic background including teaching in RCSI and academic research during the MD and Masters degrees.
After graduating in 2002, Safwat completed his specialist training in plastic surgery followed by clinical fellowship in breast reconstructive microsurgery (RSCI), International masters degree in breast reconstructive microsurgery, aesthetic breast surgery and breast cancer related lymphedema.
