Ms Moran is a Consultant Neurosurgeon, sub-specialising in Complex Spinal Neurosurgery, Functional Neurosurgery (Deep Brain Stimulation) and General Neurosurgery. Ms Moran completed Neurosurgical training in Ireland and was awarded Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland in 2016. Ms Moran has completed advanced Neurosurgical Fellowships in Functional Neurosurgery in the UK (Bristol NHS Trust) and US (Washington University, St Louis). She has also completed fellowship training in Complex Spinal Neurosurgery, in Kings College Hospital London (specialising in spinal tumour surgery, trauma and degenerative pathologies) and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square London. 

 

Ms Moran graduated from University College Dublin in 2006, completing medical degree, MB BCh BAO ( Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of surgery, Bachelor of Obstetrics). Ms Moran was awarded a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) in 2014 from the Royal College of Surgeons. Ms Moran was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2016, sub-specialising in Neurosurgery (FRCSI, SN).

Ms Moran research interests are in Functional Neurosurgery and Complex Spinal surgery including spinal tumor pathology and minimally invasive spinal surgery and robotic neurosurgery. She has international publications in these fields.

Ms Moran has completed fellowship training in Functional Neurosurgery in Deep Brain Stimulation in Bristol (Southmead NHS Trust) and fellowship in Complex Spinal surgery in King's College London. Ms Moran has also competed fellowships in Washington University, St Louis, USA and Queen Square, The National Centre for Neurosurgery in London, UK.
