Professor Reddan is a Consultant Nephrologist and Honorary Professor at Galway University Hospitals
A 1992 UCD graduate he completed BST training at SVUH Dublin and an Internal Medicine residency at AGH Pittsburgh prior to Nephrology and Biomedical Scholar fellowship at Duke University, Durham North Carolina where he also completed a masters in health sciences. He subsequently took on a faculty position at Duke at the division of Nephrology and at the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) before moving to his current position in Ireland in 2003
He is extensively published and is/has been involved in the design and implementation of a number of large clinical trials, in chronic kidney disease, CKD associated anemia and CKD associated cardiovascular risk.
He became ABIM certified in Nephrology in 2001 and is on the Irish Specialty Register
