Sinead practiced in general physiotherapy in Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar until specialising in the area of Pelvic Health in 2006. She was involved in establishing the Pelvic Health service in Blackrock Clinic in Dublin and practised there for 6 years before joining the busy obstetric and gynaecological Physiotherapy Dept at the Rotunda Hospital in 2015. Sinead worked there until she moved to Galway with her family in 2018.


Sinead has a keen interest in Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. She enjoys educating and empowering patients to manage often complex and multifactorial issues associated with pelvic health and pain.  Sinead has had extensive post graduate training in the management of pelvic organ prolapse, stress urinary incontinence, mixed urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, sexual pain and pelvic pain, constipation, faecal urgency and faecal incontinence. Sinead works with men and women before and after surgical prostatectomy, hysterectomy and pelvic floor repairs. 

She has a keen interest in working with patients who have issues that present a different life stages; working and rehabilitating ante and post natal women, peri and post menopausal women and with osteoporosis treatment and prevention. 

She is a member of the ‘Chartered Physiotherapists in Pelvic Health and Continence’ clinical interest group of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and is a member of the Australian WH training Associates since 2019.
