I am a consultant surgeon specialising in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, with a specialist interest in degenerative spinal pathologies.
I graduated from the University of Limerick in 2011, and subsequently progressed through surgical training, obtaining a Certificate of Completion in Specialist Training (CCST) in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery from the RCSI in 2022.
MCh 2015; PGDipHPE 2016; Professional Diploma in Management in Healthcare 2023
Much of my recent output has focused on improving surgical education for both medical students and surgical trainees
Fellowship Training
I was the JCST Spinal Interface Group Fellow at the Walton Centre Foundation Trust in Liverpool, UK (2022-2023). This was a combined neurosurgical and orthopaedic spinal program.
